Mr. Azman bin Awam, Operations Assistant Grade N11 of the Muar Industrial Relations Department, attended the course titled Benefits and Retirement Management – What Prospective Retirees Need to Know? Series 1/2024, organised by the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), Putrajaya Campus. The course was conducted online via the Zoom platform from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Among the objectives of the course were to enable participants to understand the roles and responsibilities of officers in completing their retirement documentation in accordance with the prescribed checklist, to gain knowledge of the types of retirement benefits that are eligible to be received or claimed upon retirement based on the prevailing Pensions Act, and to identify individuals who are eligible to receive derivative benefits and other facilities in the event that an officer passes away while in service or after retirement.
